In 2010 I published my children’s eBook Late for Dinner for the Kindle Fire, iPad, and Nook. The publishing industry at this time was in upheaval with the advent of ebooks and the troubled economy which forced traditional printing companies to either shut down or join forces. eBooks most definitely seemed the way to go, but the technology to produce them wasn’t totally solidified. I used several sources and technologies to produce my complicated book featuring real photos mingled with artwork. It somewhat took an act of God and I learned A LOT.
Since technology and service providers change constantly, the means by which to accomplish your publishing goal has hopefully been improved and standardized since 2010. One thing is for sure, an illustrated book is complicated–eBook or traditional. A book with mostly just text is a breeze, for the most part, and I would love to help you get published!
